Leading manufacturer of tailor-made flock since 1952
For three generations, we passionately carry forward the corporate legacy of Casati Flock&Fibers.
The company's roots trace back to our great-grandfather, the visionary who laid the foundation for a thriving reality for over 70 years.
In the '40s, Celso Casati, a designer at Tessitura Fontana in Renate, driven by curiosity and creativity, brings home some velvet waste from the same textile factory. He applies that powder to the lampshades he designs, giving a three-dimensional texture and a more chic effect to his lamps. Celso Casati discovers the potential of flock.
Casati Flock is born.
Entrepreneurial passion is passed down for three generations, with the goal of taking Casati's flock
worldwide. Today, the company is led by Lorena Rossi Casati and Beatrice Casati, an all-pink company. Their
goal is to revolutionize the world of flock, bringing forth the same creativity, curiosity, and
entrepreneurship as Celso Casati, offering a highly tailor-made service. Together, they have brought the
textile industry closer to the world of flock with a different curiosity, providing partners with the
opportunity to create flock from internal textile waste, promoting genuine circular economy initiatives.
"The Flock Revolution is the goal of our constant commitment to inherited excellence as we embark on the challenges of innovation. Our objective is to make the world of flock accessible to everyone, simplifying the entire process and providing clear information about flock and all its possible applications, not only in the textile sector."
– Lorena Rossi Casati and Beatrice Casati
With 70 years of expertise, Casati Flock&Fibers stands as a leading producer of flock — a certified powder derived from a diverse range of materials in the textile industry, be they natural, artificial, synthetic, or animal- derived. This “magical powder” has the power to elevate the qualities of various products. We specialize in providing personalized services, always setting our sights on innovating the solutions we offer.
It all begins with an idea from Celso Casati, who, working in a velvet factory, recognized the value of the dust obtained from the velvet waste and sold it to a company in Milan.
Angelo, Celso's son, and his brother Giuseppe grasp the potential of their father's idea and decide to start an industrial dyeing business for this velvet powder, which evolves into Flock. Two buildings are constructed for Flock production. On November 12, the Casati Celso company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Milan.
On October 28, the F.lli Casati S.n.c. is established by Celso's sons, Angelo and Giuseppe Casati.
The industrial area at Via Cesare Battisti 8 is acquired, and the first building is constructed.
Two more buildings are erected, and the entire production moves to Via Cesare Battisti 8 in Renate.
A branch is opened in São Paulo, Brazil, to meet the Brazilian market's demands.
The production site is expanded, and the Brazilian branch's ownership percentage is sold in the same year.
On April 27, Marco and Renato Casati join the company, acquiring a portion of their parents' shares. Renato is operational in the production sector, while Marco, once completed his studies, will take care of the commercial side.
The production site is further expanded, and 25,000 square meters of land are purchased.
Founders Angelo and Giuseppe fully sell their shares, and the management becomes entirely Marco and Renato's.
On June 21, Fratelli Casati S.n.c. becomes Fratelli Casati S.n.c. di Marco e Renato Casati.
On April 28, the company becomes Casati Flock S.r.l. In June, Beatrice Casati, Marco's daughter, joins the company, actively collaborating alongside her father in part of the commercial sector.
On April 28, after a prolonged illness, Marco passes away. His share is inherited by his wife, Lorena Rossi.
On February 10, Lorena acquires 100% ownership of the company. She now collaborates with her daughter, Beatrice Casati, who has been actively involved in managing the company for three years. Their commitment is to lead Casati Flock toward new achievements, valuing the experience of its 70-year history.
Casati Flock&Fibers has always been synonymous with quality and service in the flock market, and it firmly believes in certifying its products and production processes.
